Wilbert Peck Society
In 1997 Asheville School founded the Wilbert Peck Society to honor those alumni, families and friends who have provided for a legacy gift to the school in their estate planning. Gifts of this nature may take the form of trusts, life insurance, gift annuities or a provision in a will. They are commonly known as planned or deferred gifts, as the school will receive the gift sometime in the future.
Wilbert Peck was a Master Teacher of Mathematics at Asheville School for over 3 decades, from 1921 until his retirement in 1958. He was a major force on the faculty and helped many a young boy begin to understand, enjoy and excel in math.
